How Much Does a Yorkie or Morkie Puppy Cost?
Yorkie and Morkie puppy cost depends on the breeder, the breed or cross, what is included, and fees. Compare total written quotes rather than headline numbers, because one listed number can leave out the deposit, balance or fees.
What Affects the Price
Yorkie puppy price and Morkie puppy price depend on the same kinds of factors, and each can differ between breeders. Treat each factor as a question to ask, and ask for the answer in writing.
- Breed or cross: is the puppy a Yorkie or a Morkie?
- Parent records: which written records come with the puppy?
- What is included in writing: what does the written quote say is included?
- Deposit and balance: if a deposit is part of the quote, what does it cover, and what amount remains to be paid after it?
- Fees: does the written quote list any charge beyond the puppy itself, and what is each charge for?
- Timing: does the date the puppy goes home, or the date any payment is due, change what the written quote says?

Compare Written Quotes
Copy this worksheet for each breeder, and fill in each line from that breeder's written quote. If a line is not stated in the quote, write "not stated" and ask for it in writing.
Swipe or scroll sideways to read all columns.
| Line | What to write down |
|---|---|
| Deposit, if any | The amount and what it covers |
| Balance after any deposit | The amount still due after the deposit, and when it is due |
| Fees | Any charges beyond the puppy itself, and what each is for |
| Inclusions | What the quote says is included |
| Refund terms in writing | Whether any deposit is refundable, and under what conditions |
| Total | Deposit, plus the balance remaining after it, plus fees |
The balance remaining after a deposit is not the total, so add the deposit back when you work out the total. Ask each breeder whether a quoted balance is what remains after the deposit or the full price, and keep the written answer.
